Price up 7.5%, sentiment still scared

Bitcoin opened the week at $70,755. It closed at $76,069. That's a 7.51% move in seven days.

And yet the Fear & Greed Index still reads 27. Fear.

What actually happened

Sunday/Monday: Week opened soft near $70,500, the low of the range. Buyers stepped in immediately and closed Monday at $74,446.

Tuesday: Small digestion day. Price held the $74K reclaim and closed flat at $74,179.

Wednesday: Quiet grind higher to $74,836. No drama, no headlines, just steady bids.

Thursday: Broke $75K convincingly and closed at $75,163. The level that capped price for weeks became support.

Friday: The week's strongest day. Tagged $78,390 intraday and closed at $77,098.

Saturday: Modest pullback to $75,736. Normal after a 10% reclaim off the lows.

Sunday: Stabilized at $76,069. Week closed near its highs.

The thing retail keeps missing

The Fear & Greed Index went from 26 to 27 while price ran 7.5% higher.

Think about what that means. Price is screaming recovery. Sentiment is whispering fear. The two almost never disagree this loudly.

Historically, when price rallies and sentiment refuses to follow, it tells you the move isn't being driven by euphoric retail. It's being driven by someone else. Quieter. Bigger. Less emotional.

The crowd is still looking in the rearview mirror at $70K. The bid is looking forward.

What to watch this week

  • $78K as the next test. Price tagged it once and rejected. A daily close above flips the structure cleanly bullish.
  • $75K as the new floor. If the reclaim is real, dips should be bought there. If they aren't, something's wrong.
  • Sentiment catching up. Watch the Fear & Greed reading. A jump into neutral territory on strength would confirm the shift.

Bottom line

Price did the work this week. Sentiment hasn't caught up. That gap is the opportunity.

The data isn't telling you to be scared. The headlines are.

Stay patient. Stay grounded. Trust the structure.

See you Monday on YouTube.
